Viktor Hovland shares his thoughts on LIV and the PGA
Viktor Hovland expressed his understanding of players like Jon Rahm signing with LIV Golf but asserted that he has no intentions of taking a similar path. During an appearance on the Fore podcast in Norway, Hovland also addressed what he perceives as the "arrogance" of the PGA Tour's management.
“It would be a bit too silly to criticise the players for leaving [for LIV Golf]. After all, you only hear one angle in the media, and there are quite a few different parts happening at the same time here,” said Hovland. “I totally understand why he [Rahm] left. That’s a lot, a lot of money.”
“I don’t think their product is that great,” said the world No 4. “I’m not such a fan of, for example, playing without a cut. You need the competition with 150 players and a cut. If you don’t play well enough, you’re out. There is something about it that makes your game a little sharper. If I had gone to LIV, I don’t think I would have become a better golfer. And then it is, in a way, end of discussion.”
“The management has not done a good job,” said Hovland. “They almost see the players as labour, and not as part of the members. After all, we are the PGA Tour. Without the players, there is nothing.”
Tiger Woods’ PGA Tour debut ball sells at auction
Tiger Woods' PGA Tour debut at the 1992 Los Angeles Open at Riviera marked the beginning of his journey to becoming a fifteen-time major champion.
Recently, the historic Titleist Tour 100 ball used by Woods during that debut round went up for auction. The auction attracted 32 bids, ultimately closing at $52,360.80.
The unique debut ball, autographed by Woods after the round, was consigned by Byron "Dana" Lindstrom, a longtime PGA tournament official who worked as Woods' security during that historic day on February 27, 1992.
LIV Golf trio including Ian Poulter to miss Masters due to controversial decision
Ian Poulter, Lee Westwood, and LIV Golf champion Talor Gooch are among those who will be absent from next year's Masters, resulting in one of the smallest fields at Augusta National in recent times.
As it stands, the 2024 edition, scheduled for next April, is expected to feature only 77 players. Traditionally, the Masters field ranges from 85 to 100 competitors.

Cape Kidnappers: Hawkes Bay, New Zealand.
When it comes to stunning golf course locations, few can rival the breathtaking setting of Cape Kidnappers in New Zealand.
To underscore the seclusion and privacy offered by Cape Kidnappers, the journey from the gates to the clubhouse spans a full twenty minutes. Once on the course, the experience intensifies as it is perched on cliffs hundreds of feet above the waves that crash into Hawke's Bay.
If there exists a more spectacular golf course globally, it has yet to reveal itself, so be sure to bring a camera, as you'll find yourself capturing as many moments with it as you will with your clubs!

3 Tips to grow your Golf brand reach on Instagram
Instagram's algorithm plays a crucial role in determining the reach and visibility of your content.
